I'm going to have to go with Saddam... he was "on point", his answers were clear and concise, and his platform and message made perfect sense: "We destroy you ALL!" ;D

Unfortunately, he too was talking out of his ass.

I felt like both candidates were trying to argue from the same platform, but they were just arguing over who would do the same exact thing better... Sigh... We really just have no choice in the direction of our country...

Well we have one option and that's voting for congressmen. If Romney were to get elected, he can't veto his own party's bills and hope to get re-elected, and congressmen tend to stick less to their party line since they aren't individually in the spotlight as much.

True. Don't get me wrong, I think America is *slightly* better off with Romney than Obama, purely based upon his fiscal ideology being a little more sound. But I'm not at all excited about him or enthusiastic about this election in any way. Choosing Romney over someone like Ron Paul shows that the Republican Party is still failing to reconnect with it's small government, individual liberty and laissez-faire economics roots. It's yet another election where I feel like I'm forced to pick the "lesser of two evils" rather than someone I think will do the right thing...

Yeah, the parties both need to just completely go, it's getting pretty ridiculous. I'd love for a third reasonable option to be thrown in. I'm not huge on Paul's foreign policy, I think America's just too much of a target to completely withdraw from around the world, but his social leanings and libertarianism is right up my alley. Bring everything back to the states where the people have a more direct voice, and let the federal government work in the way that it was intended to, instead of being involved in so many things and spiraling out of control.
We'll see, maybe by next elections the Tea Party will have a candidate.

I agree... the two-party, oligarchical system has failed... time for something new. Other countries are way ahead of us on that front, but we're still using this stupid electoral college and two-party system...
