Visual Studio. It's what I learned on, and it just works the best.

I agree... there are quite a few VS-haters, but I love it... I haven't met a development challenge I couldn't conquer with VS yet. I even used Visual Studio during an "academic" project and developed my own micro-kernel based operating system, drivers, bootloader and GUI shell. My OS kernel was actually a PE image (portable executable format... e.g., exe, dll, etc). There's really nothing you can't do with it, except maybe Mac development. But there are ways to configure the environment and get around that too! :-)
