Welcome to the off topic forums!

This is the place to discuss, well... anything you like! However, there are a few basic rules. Actually, there is one rule: keep all discussions sensible and civilized. All of the other rules are pretty much summed up by that one. But for clarification here are the other basic rules:

• Don't post just to make a post. Please do not make a thread that says "Hi" or serves no purpose. Threads are for discussions.
  
• No trolling. Don't make threads or posts designed to upset people or purely for the sake of invoking an emotional response in other users.
  
• No flaming. Don't make threads or posts that amount to an emotional rant about something or against someone. It's ok to post about why you don't like or approve of something but flame threads/posts are strictly forbidden.
  
• No personal attacks. Do not make personal attacks or insults against other users. It's ok to disagree with what someone says. It's NOT ok to call that person an idiot or say you hope they die.
  
• NO THREATS! Threatening someone over the internet is one of the dumbest things a person could do. Do NOT tell someone you will find out where they live and go kill them. I will bring the Ban-hammer of Doom down upon you with fury. And the person you threaten could potentially report you to police. So don't make threats... it should go without saying, but this IS the internet...
  
• Absolutely NO hate speech! Posts and threads classified as "hate speech" will not be tolerated and will result in an immediate ban of the offending member. This includes, but is not limited to, insulting, harassing or threatening someone based on their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, etc. These forums are NOT a Neo-Nazi rally ground or a meeting place for the Black Panthers...
  

This should all feel pretty standard and simple if you've ever used forums or another form of social website before; which I assume all of you have. If you follow the Golden Rule ("Keep all discussions civilized") you will not be violating any rules and will never have a problem.
